Background

I bring more than twenty-five years of executive, board-level, and entrepreneurial experience across energy, LNG, maritime services, insurance, and treasury functions.

My career spans senior roles within multinational groups as well as the founding and leadership of indigenous companies in multiple African jurisdictions.

I began my career in treasury and financial risk management, developing a disciplined understanding of liquidity, capital allocation, and fiduciary responsibility. I later progressed into executive and governance roles, including turnaround leadership, joint-venture management, and internal control in complex, regulated, and capital-intensive environments.

A significant portion of this experience was acquired through hands-on executive roles in Central and West Africa, with sustained exposure to state participation, discretionary regulation, politically sensitive licences, and cross-border shareholder conflicts.

Having founded companies in multiple countries and operated at the intersection of international capital and local authority, I have experienced directly how formal rules interact with informal power, timing, and enforcement.

Years of operating across different institutional and cultural contexts have shaped a practical understanding of how local norms influence authority, compliance, and risk escalation.

This background informs a pragmatic advisory approach grounded in fiduciary discipline, operational reality, and a clear understanding of how risk crystallises in practice.
